Dylan Ferrandis second in Great Britain

Dylan Ferrandis got in Matterley Basin his fourth podium of the season, with a strong second position in the British round of the MX2 World Championship. The Monster Energy Kawasaki MX2 Racing Team rider is now sixth in the standings after missing four rounds earlier in the season.

Dylan posted top three times in each of the practice sessions and was only narrowly defeated in the qualification race to give confidence for the GP motos. But on race day he just missed better start to race with his main rival and championship leader who was able to establish a significant lead before Dylan could take over second place. It was not possible for him to battle for the victory, but no other riders were able to follow his rhythm and he crossed twice the finish line in second position. However the two second places have enable Dylan to advance to sixth place in the championship standings before the GP of Lombardy this weekend, round twelfth of eighteen in the series.

Dylan Ferrandis: β€œIt was great to be back on the podium as I missed it at the last two GPs. I had a good feeling with the track this weekend; here it was possible to make the difference with the other riders, the track was much more technical than the previous races. It’s just a shame that my starts were not better as I would like to race with Jeffrey; in both races the gap to him was too great by the time I came to second. We came here after some testing sessions with the team, working mainly on the suspension; on Saturday we made some more changes on the settings, and today the bike was great.”
