Description

The WFX City Evo GTX Long Woman is the ideal glove for tackling winter in style, both in the city and on the outskirts, and for medium-distance road trips.

Its upper structure in Soft-shell fabric is both windproof and water-repellent. Its leather palm with soft slider and ErgoProtech® honeycomb metacarpal protectors concealed under the fabric offer perfect protection. Waterproofing is ensured by a GORE-TEX® breathable membrane, a benchmark in the field. As for thermal insulation, the WFX City Evo GTX inaugurates an innovative concept in terms of construction and thermal insulation.

Most winter gloves have always been constructed in the same way... Simply put: thick, dense thermal insulation on the top of the hand, and thinner insulation in the palm extending up to the fingertips. That's the weak point of this traditional construction. Cold eventually penetrates through the forks (as the area between the fingers is called). FIVE is rethinking the fundamentals of thermal insulation by adopting a new construction christened THERMO+™, offering up to 20% thermal benefit, based on PRIMALOFT® insulation, the top in the field. The concept is quite simple: the thick insulation at the top flows down to the fingertips, while the thinner insulation is contained at the (flat) base of the palm and fingers.

This means reconsidering all other glove elements, such as the external structure or the waterproof membrane, in order to preserve perfect overall flexibility and a good grip on the handlebars. It's when riding in the cold that the full benefits of Thermo+™ construction become apparent. The thicker, denser insulation in the forks provides a far more effective thermal barrier, and helps preserve the hand's natural warmth in the glove for longer.

Add to this the dual (thumb and forefinger) TouchScreen™ touchscreen manipulation system, the Clear Vision Pad for wiping the helmet visor while riding, the dual closure system including the Over Size Cuff for easy placement of the cuff on the jacket sleeve, and you've got a sure-fire value for tackling winter.
