Description

The STREET SPORT collection is dedicated to those who combine comfort with a sporting spirit in their daily use of two-wheelers, both in and out of town. This is perfectly reflected in the RS range. Now topped by a new, highly innovative top-of-the-range model, the RS1.

Like its STUNT EVO2 "cousin", the RS1 adopts the helmet-inspired technology adopted for the construction of its AirgoProtech™ Sport metacarpophalangeal protective shell. This offers more rounded lines in keeping with the RS "sport/comfort" spirit, while underlining the dynamic character (one might even say "aero" dynamic) of the model. The aesthetic approach differs, but the philosophy remains the same: a hard outer shell to resist impact and a soft inner element to absorb and diffuse impact energy, with a honeycomb structure for perfect ventilation. This is optimized by the adoption of an additional scoop that channels air into the glove.

Inspired by the brake scoops used in motorcycle and Formula 1 racing, it characterizes the RS1 and will appeal to fans of design and aerodynamics. The flexible, ergonomic inner element eliminates the need for comfort foams (which obstruct air intake) under the shells, as found on most gloves on the market. This new shell, composed of 3 superimposed elements, is the fruit of research by our R&D department, and makes its very first exclusive appearance on the RS1. It guarantees optimum safety, as it perfectly covers the main joint and the metacarpals.

The RS1's construction cleverly combines the use of perforated full-grain goatskin leather, for the most stressed or exposed areas, and Spandex, a tough stretch textile, for areas requiring greater flexibility. The aim is to offer the ideal compromise between comfort and protection, as well as first-rate control feel.

The palm, entirely in ultra-soft goatskin leather, houses a semi-flexible ERGO PROTECH® honeycomb "slider" shell, to protect the hypothenar without impeding handlebar grip. Grooved neoprene wrist outer face, PullN'Ride™ adjustment tab and TPR + Velcro adjustment tab contribute to perfect fit and optimum glove retention. The RS1 features the TouchScreen™ system on the index finger and thumb, for easy use of GPS and smartphone without removing the glove, including zoom or camera functions.

Comfort, safety, practicality, ultra-innovative design, the RS1 really does tick all the boxes, but be warned: it's aimed primarily at the most demanding customers. It's up to you to decide if you're one of them...
