It nevertheless enjoys the benefits of the same heating technology and same fundamentals as the higher-end styles (Primaloft® thermal insulation, 5_DRYTECH™weatherproof, breathable membrane, Dual Control adjustment system, connectivity…), but its simplified outer construction, which is fully synthetic, keeps its price reasonable. The HG3 Evo Woman WP features all the safety (Ergo Protech™ protective shells) and comfort (Touch Screen™, Clear Vision Pad™, etc.) elements that are typical of new-gen FIVE gloves. 

So, you may choose the HG3 Evo Woman WP because it’s financially attractive, or because it resonates with your values, since no elements of animal origin have been used in its composition…or for both reasons! You have a choice between a long or a short version. The WFX City Evo GTX is the ideal glove to face the winter with elegance, both in the city and the suburbs, and to take on middle-distance road trips with peace of mind. Its topside construction in Softshell fabric is both windproof and water-repellent. Its leather palm featuring a soft slider and honeycombed ERGO PROTECH® metacarpal protective shells hidden underneath the fabric offer impeccable protection. Weatherproofing is ensured by a breathable GORE-TEX® membrane, the benchmark name in the field. As for thermal insulation, the WFX City Evo GTX introduces an innovative concept in terms of construction. Most winter gloves have been made the same way for ages…To put it simply: Thick thermal insulation over the top of the hand, and a finer layer on the palm, all the way up to between the fingers. And here was the weak spot of this traditional construction. The cold ends up getting inside through the fourchettes (which is what the area between the fingers is called). FIVE has reinvented the fundamentals of thermal insulation using a new type of construction called THERMO+™, offering up to 20% greater heat retention, based on PRIMALOFT® insulation, the very best in the field. The concept is quite simple: thick insulation on the topside extends down between the fingers, whereas the thinner insulation is limited to the (flat) base of the palm and fingers. This implies reconsidering all the other elements in the glove, such as the external structure or the weatherproof membrane, in order to maintain perfect suppleness overall and a firm grip on the controls. It’s when you ride in the cold that you understand the point of this Thermo+™ construction. The thicker, denser insulation in the fourchettes constitutes a much more effective thermal barrier and helps keep the hand’s natural heat within the glove for longer. Add to this the dual (thumb and index finger) Touch Screen™ system for handling electronic devices, the Clear Vision Pad that allows you to wipe off the visor of your helmet while you ride, the dual closure system that includes the Over Size Cuff (on LONG version) to make it easier to fit the cuff over your jacket’s sleeve, and you have a sure bet to face the city in the wintertime.

The WFX Skin Evo Woman GTX represents an alluring evolution of the WFX Skin GTX, our bestselling urban/suburban winter glove. Though its predecessor was essentially designed for city riders, the WFX Skin Evo GTX wants to be more versatile. It widens the riding spectrum and will also delight Touring fans looking to have an understated, comfortable, and elegant leather glove to face the winter. 

Made mostly of full-grain Napa goat leather, renowned for its extreme suppleness, with the addition of a few stretchy Softshell fabric inserts for ease of movement and comfort, it aims to be protective, in every sense of the word, in the city or on the road. Its GORE-TEX® weatherproof, breathable membrane and PrimaLoft® Gold water-repellent thermal insulation offer the best possible guarantee that you’ll stay dry and warm in bad weather; this is why we’ve opted to use these premium elements on the WFX Skin Evo GTX. And to stop any raindrops from getting inside your sleeve, the cuff is now covered with Taslan™ water-repellent fabric, for truly optimized weatherproofing. In terms of safety, the WFX Skin Evo GTX has naturally adopted the latest generation of FIVE ERGO PROTECH® ergonomic protective shells, including a semi-soft, honeycombed shell on the palm, to protect you in case you take a spill. The topside shell is simply concealed underneath the leather, for a more subtle look. The dual-closure system also promises perfect fit and support. And since it’s better to be prepared for humidity or rain, which are more common in winter, the WFX4 WP also has a waterproof, breathable 5_DRYTECH™ membrane, developed specifically by our R&D department for motorcycle use, which is also partially bonded to the palm for optimal grip on the handlebars and perfect fit. Its “no-leather” construction (topside construction in water-repellent Softshell fabric and the palm in Amara synthetic fiber) makes it a 100% vegan product, which should delight anyone who cares about animal welfare.
